and pandora is thriving
After the humans of RDA returned to Earth in the ISV Venture Star,
without the Unobtanium they had left for, Earth's economy spiraled sickeningly
downwards. The drop caused the worst World-Wide Depression the planet had
ever experienced, and its poverty and crime rates skyrocketed to alarming
heights. Without Unobtanium, Earth's occupants would die of starvation and
constantly wade in diseased ridden cities. Eventually, the human race would
cease to exist.
RDA then took action, once again, and planned another voyage to the Alpha
Centauri system. This time RDA can expect what's on Pandora. After six years
of designing and planning, they've prepared bigger guns, more Avatars, and
even more mining machines. It will take the Humans six to seven years to reach
the moon of Polyphemus. Many of the marines and engineers from the first
voyage to the moon are making the second trip as well. Many of the members
of the governmental organization are bent on revenge for fallen comrades, or
have an extreme interest in the wildlife of this new world.
Meanwhile, the creatures of Pandora are thriving. The Omaticaya (the jungle
Na'vi) have begun to explore new technologies (thanks to Humans), and have
relocated to a new Hometree. The former Hometree location is avoided, but
plants have begun to take root there once again. One of the humans left behind
on Pandora, Dr. Max Patel, suggested the creation of human Avatars for the
Na'vi--just incase the RDA decided to occupy the lush moon again. The Na'vi
were wary of this idea, but soon learned to accept it. Jake Sully, now the
Omaticaya clan leader, saw this as a great advantage over the RDA; the
organization would never expect primitive Na'vi to create something so futuristic.
It will allow the natives of Pandora to infiltrate RDA facilities with more ease than
posing as a Na'vi.
Hell's Gate has been claimed by Pandoran plant-life, and the natives have begun
to use the base for the creation of their human Avatars. RDA has created another
base farther to the South, and has been called "Eden" by the humans stationed
there, due to its purpose of rejuvenating Earth's economy. A new Administrator
is in charge of the mining on Pandora, and plans on relocating the Na'vi by force.
RDA has prepared small reservation camps for the natives. Each camp includes
food, clean water, and education. The camps have Na'vi Avatar guards, and major
weapons towers are positioned at each corner to provide heavy munitions defense
against surface and air intrusions by large hostile Pandoran wildlife, and of course,
to keep the imprisoned Na'vi under control.
Currently, RDA's ships are now just beginning to land on Pandora and Avatars are
being put to use. The construction of Eden will take a month, and then afterwords
the Na'vi reservation camps will be constructed. However, while this is being done,
the Na'vi's peaceful life has continued to go on untouched by humans. But this peace
will not last forever. Na'vi warriors will be needed for the coming hardships, and Jake
Sully and his new family will have to be more ready than ever to meet this new threat.
