When Elvis was the King, dancing didn't need to involve touching each other, the Mickey Mouse Club was on TV, parents thought rock n' roll was the music of the devil, and the threat of nuclear destruction loomed overhead.
In the small town of Sunshine, Wyoming, things weren't much different. Greasers and clean-cut kids brawled in the halls of the Senior High School, gangs like the Lions and the Bears had showdowns on the outside of town. Dances were weekly at the public dance hall.
