It was nothing we'd ever expected - even with all the warnings we had received. The earth had shaken with such unbelievable force, splitting continents in two and destroying the coasts of our own country. We had nothing to blame - so we simply called it Global Warming. Horrible fumes and toxins poured from the center of the earth - stealing over three quarters of the world's population and leaving the rest of us with a list of new problems.
The gases we devastating to our fragile human bodies - transforming some, saving few, and killing many. Vampiric blood poisoning, shape shifting, and a toxic branch of the human race consumed what was left of humanity. Though most untouched humans were murdered, the few saved grew ill with a life threatening sickness. Most unclaimed humans have been left to a life of suffering. Vomiting and head aches are now a daily routine, and there doesn't seem to be a cure anywhere in the near future.
One year after the disaster, what is left of the country is up in arms and is ruled by complete chaos. The earth has grown into one with the atmosphere, and claims our broken buildings and homes with vines and roots. What has become of our home, our country? What has become of you?
